NeuWave™ Microwave Ablation System

The NeuWave™ Microwave Ablation System is indicated for the ablation (coagulation) of soft tissue in percutaneous, open surgical and in conjunction with laparoscopic surgical settings, including the partial or complete ablation of non-resectable liver tumors.

When it comes to ablating lesions, achieving the best outcomes for each individual patient is paramount. The NeuWave Microwave Ablation System is a total solution for ablating lesions of many shapes and sizes with consistency and control,1,2 to address each patients’ clinical need.1,3

Plan, Ablate, Confirm

NeuWave™ Microwave Ablation System with ABLATE-IQ™ provides unique visualization of fused pre- and post-ablation scans to take the uncertainty out of margin confirmation - critical for reducing risk of recurrence and improving procedural outcomes.B,4-6 NeuWave™ ABLATE-IQ™ registers target and probe placement scans, creating unique multidimensional probe views to help place the needle right where you want it.C,4,6,7

Comprehensive Probe Portfolio

The versatile NeuWave™ probe portfolio allows you to tailor ablations to each patient’s clinical need1,3 to help ensure total coverage of the ablated lesion. The NeuWave PR Probe provides distal energy control for precise, controlled ablations with a limited distance past the tip and limited ablation length to help protect non-target tissue,8,9 while multi-probe synchrony (with 1,2 or 3 probes)1,2 can create larger and more spherical ablation zones than a single repositioned probe.D,10

Probes

Reduce Probe Migration

The NeuWave Microwave Ablation System has Tissu-Loc™ technology that creates an ice ball and “sticks" the probe in place, minimizing probe migration during imaging and additional probe placement.11 The NeuWave Microwave Ablation System is the only CO2 cooled system enabling the smallest gauge probe and Tissu-Loc™ to help reduce probe migration.

Access In The OR

The NeuWave™ PRS35 Probe is the longest ablation probe on the market,E,12-15 with 35cm length for greater anatomical reach so you can reach the liver, front to back.

  1. Refer to IFU for Ablation Zone Sizes.
  2. Evidence shows margins >5mm are the best predictors of long-term outcomes.
  3. More precise than standard of care (CT or ultrasound).
  4. When using multiple probes, NeuWave recommends a maximum of 2 cm spacing between probes to make a contiguous ablation zone. Ablations spaced more than 2 cm had non-contiguous results.
  5. Competitive probe portfolio comparison in 17 products from 4 manufacturers, as of January 2024.
